Compassionate Authority
My therapeutic philosophy is to work with the person beneath diagnosis or labels. Diagnosis is helpful but underneath the labels or diagnosis will be the person rich with personal unique experiences. Trauma, vulnerability, emotional pain and coping patterns that have often led to self defeating behaviours yet to be healed. I believe that having the courage to search your inner wisdom within, each of us have the opportunity to find peace and to heal.
With over thirty two years of dedicated experience in Psychotherapy, I bring a wealth of expertise, compassion and support to help individuals and couples heal from trauma, with grief, clinical issues, addiction and relationship challenges. I am honoured to have worked collectively for eight years with charities such as, Cruse Bereavement Services and SADAS Addiction Services in Surrey, UK.. Counselling and supporting those in crisis with compassion and care.
In 2001 I gained my qualification in Humanistic, Person Centred Psychotherapist. Following this my professional journey began with a prestigious internship at The Meadows, the renowned Trauma and Addiction Clinic in Arizona, USA, where I worked alongside Dr Patrick Carnes PhD and Pia Mellody. Pioneers in their field. This foundational experience shaped my specialised approach to recovery and family systems.
I offer a deeply empathic, client led framework for growth. Encouraging appropriate change by employing a wealth of therapeutic interventions gained with over thirty two years experience. My trainings include, Sex Addiction, Codependency, Inner Child Therapy, Dream exploration, Psychosexual therapy, Individual therapy and Couples therapy.
In 2004, I introduced the Emotional Trauma Programme to the Addiction Department at The Priory Hospital, Roehampton, London. This important aspect of addiction brought a fresh initiative to the UK Addiction treatment programme and transformed treatment pathways for countless patients.
I have maintained a thriving Private Practice since 2004, originally based on Harley Street, London for over a decade. Today I offer flexible therapy options:
- Online sessions (Worldwide)
- In-person appointments (by arrangement)
